A northern New Jersey chiropractor has been arrested and charged after a camera was found in a bathroom in his office, authorities said.
Gary Hecht, 55, of Livingston, is charged with invasion of privacy and child endangerment, Union County Prosecutor William A. Daniel and Springfield Police Chief John Cook said Thursday in a joint statement.
The charges follow an investigation conducted by Springfield police following reports of a hidden camera discovered in a bathroom at Hecht Chiropractic Office located at 201 Mountain Ave. in Springfield, N.J.
Authorities were alerted about the camera on Monday, according to the Springfield Police Department. No further information was available
According to the Union County Daily Voice, Hecht was booked into the Essex County Jail on Tuesday and released later that day. No bond information was available, according to the outlet.
Calls to Hecht’s office went unanswered Friday morning while both its website and Facebook page appeared to be offline.
