DEAR DEIDRE: THE thrill of casual sex has already cost me my marriage – and now I’m doing it again.

I am now 32 and with a beautiful woman. She is 28 and we got engaged last year – even though she seems to have a strong idea of what I am doing.

I only do it in fits and starts. I think I have learned my lesson – then I do it again.

Why, I ask myself. Is it because it so easy? Why am I hurting and destroying my lovely partner?

I feel guilty afterwards and I know I should resist the temptation, but I never do.

What was your parents’ relationship like? Did you grow up in a home that was an adrenalin-filled emotional roller coaster, or maybe have a dad who played around?

My e-leaflet Can’t Be Faithful? will help you understand your behaviour better and change it.
