A video shows the moment a millionaire investment banker appears to deliver a shocking blow to a woman, flooring her in the process. The incident took place Saturday night in Brooklyn, where the individual went to the ground in the middle of a bustling street in New York City.
She fell onto the pavement amid busy crowds attending Brooklyn Pride in Park Slope.
The woman appeared injured, clutched her face and collapsed near another person who was also lying on the ground.
The video has garnered nearly 5 million views on social media. The individual is reportedly a managing director at Moelis & Co., an investment banking firm, according to the New York Post.
The company has since confirmed it has launched an investigation, confirming it is “taking this matter very seriously.”
“We are aware that one of our employees was involved in a serious incident in Brooklyn on June 8. We take this matter very seriously and are conducting an investigation,” a spokesperson for Moelis & Co. told The New York Post.
However, the company did not confirm the name of the individual involved or if he would face any disciplinary action. The individual also declined to comment when contacted by the press, and the NYPD reported having no information on the assault.
The video does not reveal the events leading up to the incident but shows an assailant, appearing flustered, walking away with a jacket stained with liquid down the back.
“She f*****g threw s–t all over me,” the man is heard saying while bystanders call him an “as****e” and a “horrible person.”
It is claimed the woman sustained a broken nose and another person suffered a “busted up” arm, according to text overlay on the video.
The individual is said to be a leading the Global Business Services franchise at Moelis & Co. since 2013. Before this role, he served as managing director at Citi Bank’s Global Mergers & Acquisitions Group.
The alleged attacker resides in a luxurious four-bedroom townhouse.
