Eight years after the original movie and Moana 2 is now set to release this November.
A surprise announcement in February, development began on a Disney+ series back in 2020 which is now being reworked into a movie sequel.
Auli‘i Cravalho and Dwayne Johnson return to voice Moana and demigod Maui, as seen in the new trailer above.
The synopsis reads: “Moana 2 reunites Moana and Maui three years later for an expansive new voyage alongside a crew of unlikely seafarers.
“After receiving an unexpected call from her wayfinding ancestors, Moana must journey to the far seas of Oceania and into dangerous, long-lost waters for an adventure unlike anything she’s ever faced.”
