FORMER LA Dodgers star Julio Urias has learnt his punishment after the MLB confirmed he “violated” their domestic violence policy.
The pitcher faced five misdemeanor charges after a frightening incident involving his wife outside the BMO Stadium in Los Angeles in September 2023.

Baseball chiefs responded at the time by placing Urías on administrative leave and he has not pitched since.
Now the MLB have suspended the Mexican, 28, for around half the 2025 season.
It means he will only be reinstated from the restricted list on July 17.
An MLB statement read: “The Office of the Commissioner of Baseball has completed its investigation into allegations that free agent pitcher Julio Urías violated Major League Baseball’s Joint Domestic Violence, Sexual Assault and Child Abuse Policy.
“Having reviewed all of the available evidence, I have concluded that Mr. Urías violated our Policy and that discipline is appropriate.”
Urias joined the Dodgers in 2016 after three years in the Minor leagues.
And in 2020 he helped them win the World Series.
But the ugly altercation with his wife 18 months ago brought his career to a standstill.

In May 2024 he pleaded no contest to one count of misdemeanor domestic battery.
The other four charges he faced were dropped.
Four months later, a shocking video of Urias showing the frightening scenes outside the BMO Stadium was released.
The incident followed a match between LAFC and Inter Miami.
He has not pitched for the Dodgers or anyone since then, meaning he missed the whole 2024 season.
And there will be a huge question mark over what happens next when his MLB ban ends in four months’ time.
