Pittsburgh is still no closer to working out who the starting quarterback will be in 2025.
The team has been linked with Aaron Rodgers with the 41-year-old currently a free agent.
But Tomlin and the Steelers have kept their options open by hosting Sanders, son of NFL great Deion, for a visit.
Pittsburgh holds the No. 21 overall pick in the NFL Draft from April 24-26.
And the team will be hoping Sanders is still on the board when they’re on the clock.
ESPN’s Louis Riddick claimed that he doesn’t think Shedeur wants to be taken by any of the first three teams.
The Tennessee Titans hold the No. 1 overall pick with the Cleveland Browns at No. 2.
The New York Giants sit at third overall in Green Bay, Wisconsin later this month.
Speaking on First Take, Riddick said, “I hope he doesn’t go in the top three picks.
“I hope he doesn’t. And I think his camp would tell you the same thing.
“There are other teams they want to go to.”
In an interview with Cleveland.com, Riddick added, “There are other teams that I hope he goes to that I think would be good fits for him.
“I feel like him going to a place like New Orleans, Pittsburgh or Las Vegas – they would be very good fits for him.”
The Steelers are also hosting Syracuse quarterback Kyle McCord next week, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
The team have just Mason Rudolph and Skylar Thompson on their books at the position.

They lost both Russell Wilson to the New York Giants and Justin Fields to the New York Jets in free agency.
Pittsburgh also hosted Rodgers, 41, for a visit last month.
But the four-time MVP has yet to make a decision on his future.
Sanders told NFL Network after his Pittsburgh visit, “The Steelers was great.
“I understand why they win so much and why Tomlin is the way he is.
“He resembles dad a little bit, they have the same principles.”
