Fans especially swoon over her potato recipes. The culinary guru is often referred to as the “Potato Queen” of social media, with food lovers being massively attracted to her roast potato techniques.
We recently enjoyed a chat with Poppy where she divulged secrets on enhancing the taste of simple spuds. In her view, it all lies in the seasoning.
Poppy advises to “Start off with the basics” as she added: “Potatoes love salt – they just work well with it and it brings out the natural addictive potatoey flavour.”
But salt isn’t her only recommendation. When it comes to her other favourite seasonings she recommended:
- Smoked paprika
- Granulated Garlic
- Ground cumin
- Ground coriander
- Lemon juice
- Oil
She is convinced this combination gives rise to a “nice baseline of earthy flavours which really compliment a potato – especially a chip or a wedge”.
