Melania Trump REVEALS if she wants to serve as First Lady again – ‘It’s a balancing act’

She told school children she is ready to serve another four years if her husband, US President Donald Trump is re-elected. During a visit to Fort Bragg, North Carolina, Mrs Trump said: “I love what I do. And what will affect I will always shine a light on children. And the next generation. I think my husband is doing a fantastic job and I would support my husband if he would run again and yes, it’s a privilege, a great honour to serve.”

But she added her role as First Lady to the US comes second to being a mother.

She said: “It’s a balancing act and my son – our son – is still a priority.

“So I feel I am still a mother first. He is at an age where he needs parents for guidance.”

Mrs Trump told children at the Albritton Middle School how she balances her duties to being a mother of 13-year-old Barron Trump.

She added her favourite part of her job is meeting people.

A close source to Mrs Trump has previously said she never wanted to be First Lady.

The longtime friend told Vanity Fair: “This isn’t something she wanted and it isn’t something he ever thought he’d win.

“She didn’t want this come hell or high water. I don’t think she thought it was going to happen.”

The accusation has since been called “old news” by the Trump family.

As First Lady, Mrs Trump has launched the Be Best initiative which focuses on well-being, social media use, and opioid abuse.

She said at the school: “I encourage all of you to be best in everything that you do, to challenge yourself to be true to yourself, and to have a positive way in your life.

“I’m here to spread positivity and confidence in being all of you, as you may heard, I have an initiative: Be Best.”
