Melania Trump showed her “true colours” just hours before the election result was called for Donald Trump, according to an expert.
Trump is set to take office once more after the former Republican President, 78, receives the majority share of electoral votes. But Melania, 54, may not be pleased about her return to First Lady duties, according to body language reader Darren Stanton.
Appearing alongside her husband in Florida, Melania’s presented a very different look to the usual grins and waves followers have become accustomed to.
Stanton has since claimed Melania doesn’t seem to be eager to be First Lady for a second time.
He believes Melania had tried to keep as low a profile as possible while casting her ballot and even gave off a “general disinterest” in her appearance at the polling station.
Speaking on behalf of Slingo, Stanton said: “Melania is a strange fish. She has always looked as though she didn’t want to be First Lady, and it is clear from this that she doesn’t want to be First Lady again. You would think she would be standing beside him or to the side of him, doing something with her hands supporting him.
“She should be facing him at an angle but she is facing her body towards the media instead. Her hands are to her side, she is not showing anything. Her facial expressions are very stoic, there is no smiling, happiness, joy or support. She is not standing close to him, not got a hand on his arm. It is very odd.”
Stanton also commented on Melania’s outfit choice, which, he said, is one of the few ways the 54-year-old tries to get lost in the crowd. He continued: “It’s like she wants to be hidden in plain sight.
“You’d think she would wear elements of red – a nod to the Republican party – to show her support, but she’s not. Again, it shows a disinterest. The way she normally dresses, this dress is contrary to her baseline behaviour. She is never normally seen without being less than very glamorous.
“The whole message it delivers is one of ‘I don’t want to be here’. Her behaviour emulates someone being wheeled out to face the world, like being asked to go to a party you don’t want to go to.” Melania, who “always dresses to the nines,” took a more subtle approach to her outfit after voting in the Sunshine State.
Trump has so far received the required 267 electoral votes, which will make him incumbent president. He will start his second term as President of the United States on January 20, 2025. It comes as Democrat candidate Kamala Harris falls short, with just 223 electoral votes at time of writing.
