Meghan Markle is said to be invited by the Queen to the Scottish hideaway for a few days as a birthday treat, a royal source claimed.
The special gift will also mark baby Archie’s first holiday when he travels with his parents to the Balmoral Estate.
The Duchess of Sussex will be celebrating her 38th birthday on August 4.
A cloe source told the Sun on Sunday that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and baby Archie will be given their own wing in the estate, as well as enjoying a traditional afternoon tea with the Queen.
The source revealed: “The Queen and Prince Philip adore the couple and, of course, their new great-grandson Archie, and they have invited them to Balmoral for a few days.
“It is testament to Meghan that she has been given this invite. It’s a huge honour.”
It is understood that the catering team will prepare a cake to mark the special occasion.
The Balmoral Estate has always been the Queen’s favourite as she and Prince Philip travel to Scotland every summer and spend their summer months in the Highlands.
The source added: “It’s no secret Balmoral is Her Majesty’s favourite home and that’s why this invite is so special and heartfelt.”
A spokesman for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex said he could not comment on their private diary, The Sun reports.
The invitation to Balmoral has always been deemed as key indicators of social status.
Prince William and Kate Middleton have previously stayed in the estate and if Meghan is invited, it will be her first visit to the breathtaking holiday home.
The Queen and Duke of Edinburgh usually head to Balmoral in July, when the castle closes its grounds to the public.
They are known to stay in residence there until about October when they head back to Buckingham Palace.
