Melanie Maynard, Marcus Rashford’s mum, has spoken out about how two deaths impacted the Manchester United ace in recent months. Rashford has come under criticism for his performances of late, but mum Melanie believes he is now back on the right track.
Writing for The Times, Maynard said: “Marcus lost a second very important person in his life: his cousin Nathan in November, after a very good family friend, Garf, had died a year earlier, which set him back a lot. It was a lot for someone so young to deal with.”
