Manchester United have confirmed they plan to build a state-of-the-art new stadium on the same site as their 75,000-seater Old Trafford home. In a lengthy statement, the Red Devils have said they are exploring the potential of “regenerating the Old Trafford area of Greater Manchester” and want “the development of a world-class football stadium” to be the very heart of their project.
