Man leaps from second-floor balcony to evade police in Trump Tower

A homeless man injured himself leaping from a second-floor balcony inside Trump Tower to evade police Thursday, cops said.

The man was causing a disturbance on the second floor of the residential skyscraper on Fifth Ave. near E. 56th St. in Midtown when police approached him around 4:20 p.m., a Trump Tower employee told the Daily News.

Officers were leading the man out of the building when he suddenly mounted a railing of the second-floor balcony and leaped down to the lobby below, according to a law enforcement source.

“He just suddenly jumped from the balcony,” the source said. “He didn’t say anything. He was just crazy.”

Despite falling roughly 30 feet — about three stories — the man was conscious after the fall and medics took him to NY Presbyterian – Well Cornell Medical Center in stable condition for treatment of head injuries, cops said.

A motorcade carrying former President Donald Trump was spotted entering the condo tower about an hour after the man’s wild flight from police.
