Another swimmer appears to have drowned in the Rockaways, police said Monday.
A man in his 30s was found floating close the to shoreline of Rockaway Beach near Beach 96th St. in Queens about 12:30 a.m. Monday, cops said.
Medics rushed the man to St. John’s Hospital but he could not be saved. Cops were trying to determine his identity.
Clothes and personal belongings believed to belong to the man were found by the shore, police said. A city Medical Examiner autopsy will confirm his cause of death.
On June 21, Elyjha Changler, 16, and Christian Perkins, 17, drowned at Jacob Riis Beach in the Rockaways, their bodies found a week later.
