A woman has revealed how her ex attacked her while she was pregnant and then uploaded a naked photo of her onto Facebook .
Robyn Pottage, 24, of Devizes, Wiltshire, was 12 weeks pregnant when boyfriend Kieron Stacey, now 30, strangled, punched and even kicked her in the stomach.
Stacey was handed a suspended sentence for the terrifying assault, only to later share a naked snap of Robyn after she spurned his advances.
In January this year, Stacey was given another suspended sentence after pleading guilty to disclosing a private sexual photograph with intent to cause distress.
Now the mum-of-one wants to warn others away from her violent ex.
Robyn says: “I can’t believe he didn’t get any jail time. It’s disgusting.
“Thankfully no one recognised me in the image, but it was still heartbreaking that he’d do that to the mother of his child.”
In December 2014, Robyn, then 19, met Stacey, then 25, outside Sainsbury’s and, the couple fell in love.
She says: “He was mature and always looked after me.
“My friends and family adored him, and I just felt so happy.
“Eventually, we moved in together.
“But, I discovered that Kieron had a naked picture of me on this phone. I had no idea how he’d gotten it but I must have been asleep while he took it.
“I confronted him and he promised he’d delete it. Stupidly I believed him.”
A year after the couple started dating, Robyn discovered she was pregnant.
Robyn says: “I thought it might make him grow up, instead he went out with his mates every night.
“And he constantly checked my phone, accusing me of cheating on him.
“It was exhausting having to prove that I was faithful.
“I was three months pregnant, there was no way I was chasing men!”
One day, in March 2016, fed up with his paranoid behaviour, Robyn refused to let Stacey see her mobile.
She says: “He grabbed my phone and smashed the screen on the floor.
“Then he strangled me and punched me in the face. The pain was blinding.
“Sickeningly, he kicked me in the stomach. I was terrified that he would kill my baby.
“He told me I was a slag as I ran towards the front door of my flat.
“My phone rang and Kieron grabbed it.
“I spotted my chance and dashed out of the door, into the hallway.
“My cousin lived in the same block of flats as me so I ran to her apartment.
“But Kieron caught up with me and kicked me as I lay screaming for help outside her flat.
“Rebecca came outside and I jumped inside and locked the door. Then I heard Kieron trying to smash his way in.
“Shaking, I used my cousin’s phone to call the police.”
Soon after, Robyn noticed blood in her knickers, so she was taken to hospital where she was checked over.
She says: “After an ultrasound, doctors revealed that my baby was unharmed. The bleeding was just pregnancy spotting.
“It was a huge relief but I was covered in bruises.”
In the meantime, police officers arrested Stacey and charged him.
In August 2016, he pleaded guilty to assault by beating and destroying or damaging property at Wiltshire Magistrates’ Court.
He was given an 18-month suspended sentence.
Robyn says: “I tried to put on a brave but it was difficult.
“We started chatting over text, and Kieron apologised for hurting me.
“But then I realised that he was being manipulative and I was terrified that I’d lose my child if I continued to talk to him.
“So I told him that we’d never get back together.
“He seemed to take it well.”
In November 2017, Robyn spotted that Kieron had posted a compromising picture of a naked woman on Facebook with the caption ‘Coming soon to a bloke near you’.
She says: “You could see her entire body, but not her face. She was lying on a bed.
“Then I realised that I recognised the duvet. It was me! It was the image I’d asked Kieron to delete.
“I felt sick but acted quickly and screen-shotted the image so I had proof.
“Then I called the police and they promised to send someone round.
“By the time I got off the phone, Kieron had deleted the image.
“I hoped that no one realised the image was me, and no one ever mentioned it.
“I was so relieved that I’d taken the evidence.”
Stacey was arrested.
And in January 2019, Kieron Stacey, 30, of Scunthorpe, pleaded guilty to disclosing a private sexual photograph with intent to cause distress at Manchester Crown Court.
He was given a two-year suspended sentence.
Robyn says: “I honestly thought he’d go to jail and I’m disappointed that he didn’t.
“I want to warn others to stay away from this monster.
“If I’d known he could be violent, I would never have dated him.”
