A 47-year-old man was stabbed to death on an East Harlem street, police said Monday.
Michael Smith was stabbed multiple times near E. 132nd St. and Madison Ave. about 12:15 p.m. Sunday, cops said.
Medics rushed him to Harlem Hospital but he could not be saved.
Smith was just a few blocks away from his home in the Lincoln Houses when he was attacked.
Police believe the killer knew Smith but it’s not clear what the motive was. No arrests have been made.
Smith had 9 prior arrests. Records show he was paroled in June 1997 after serving 14 months in state prison for a Manhattan attempted robbery conviction.
