SHOPPERS rush to snap up a budget-friendly stand mixer that apparently rivals high-end brands – for hundreds of pounds less.
George at Asda is flogging its stylish Stand Mixer for a reduced price of just £13.75.

One shopper excitedly took to the Facebook group Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK to share their cheap find.
The user wrote: “Bargain of the day from Asda stand mixer for £13.75”, accompanied by a picture of the receipt and the packaging of the mixer in question.
One user in the comments tagged a friend and commented: “Get yourself to an Asda”.
Another commented: “Heads up, just checked all on the shelf at my local and they are still at full price, must be specific stores. Great bargain!”
While some Asda stores still have the budget mixer priced at £55, some shoppers are snapping it up for over £40 less.
This stand mixer is seen as a bargain alternative to a KitchenAid, which is currently selling for a whopping £381.65 on the brand’s own website.
Lakeland’s 6.5L Digital Stand Mixer similarly costs up to £249.99.
Asda’s stand mixer features a 600W motor, 7 speed settings and a 5L stainless steel mixing bowl.
The lightweight machine also includes dishwasher-safe attachments – a whisk, dough hooks and paddle – as well as a removable splash guard.
It comes as Jacqueline Poutney, a savvy saver, revealed how she managed to put aside over £1,000 through a savings challenge.
Jacqueline Poutney, 30, lives in Newcastle with her partner.
The teacher, originally from Watford, decided to set herself the challenge of putting money aside during the pandemic.
She had little knowledge of finance growing up, and her family lived from payday to payday.
Jackie came across open banking app Plum and decided first to opt in for its weekly roundups.
This meant that when Jackie spent money, Plum automatically rounded up the amount and put the difference into a pot every Monday.
So a £2.50 spend would become £3, with 50p then going into her savings.
Since March 2020, Jackie has saved £990.55 through these roundups alone.
This, Jackie says, was all done without her noticing the money leaving her bank account.

Big names regularly offer discounts or special lower prices for members, among other perks.
Sales are when you can pick up a real steal.
Retailers usually have periodic promotions that tie into payday at the end of the month or Bank Holiday weekends, so keep a lookout and shop when these deals are on.
Sign up to mailing lists and you’ll also be first to know of special offers. It can be worth following retailers on social media too.
When buying online, always do a search for money off codes or vouchers that you can use vouchercodes.co.uk and myvouchercodes.co.uk are just two sites that round up promotions by retailer.
Scanner apps are useful to have on your phone. Trolley.co.uk app has a scanner that you can use to compare prices on branded items when out shopping.
Bargain hunters can also use B&M’s scanner in the app to find discounts in-store before staff have marked them out.
And always check if you can get cashback before paying which in effect means you’ll get some of your money back or a discount on the item.
