ATTORNEY General Pam Bondi is seeking the death penalty for alleged assassin Luigi Mangione if he’s found guilty of murdering UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson.
Mangione faces four federal charges over the shooting death of Thompson on December 4, 2024.

Bondi announced on Tuesday that she asked federal prosecutors to sentence Mangione to death if he’s found guilty.
In a statement, Bondi called the execution a “premeditated, cold-blooded assassination that shocked America.”
“After careful consideration, I have directed federal prosecutors to seek the death penalty in this case as we carry out President Trump’s agenda to stop violent crime and Make America Safe Again.”
