Danny picked Yewande and Amber out of all the girls, and seemed to get on well with Yewande as they enjoyed a drink and some nibbles away from the Love Island villa.
It was clear Yewande was impressed by Danny as she gushed over the date when she returned to her fellow contestants on the ITV2 programme.
Many viewers were pleased to see Yewande find someone she liked in the villa as the scientist hadn’t been having much luck in finding the right suitor.
However, Molly-Mae threatened to rain on Yewande’s new-found happiness when she revealed she liked Danny too and that he was her “type”.
Molly-Mae wasted no time in trying to talk to Danny and the pair had a chat, after which, Danny told the boys he liked her as well.
Viewers were not impressed with Molly-Mae’s conduct in the situation, as she is already in a couple with Tommy Fury after expressing an interest in him and saying that he was her “type”.
Those watching at home took to Twitter to vent about how things had gone down.
“Molly Mae get away from Danny #loveisland,” one wrote on the social site.
Another posted: “Molly stop jumping on every man chillllll #loveisland.”
“BACK AWAY MOLLY MAE!!! You are toeing the line woman #loveisland,” a third exclaimed.
A fourth urged: “Actually go away Molly Mae #loveisland.”
“Molly Mae is a snake, trying to drop Yewande’s name in like she’s her friend. Can she stop #loveisland,” a fifth shared.
While a sixth wrote: “Molly just needs to back down yikes #LoveIsland.”
Molly-Mae later went on to tell Danny that she wasn’t sure how she felt about Tommy.
She told the newcomer that she found it difficult to have normal conversations with him.
Molly-Mae’s turned head did not go unnoticed by Tommy who took to the Beach Hut to talk about how he felt.
He said: “I’m a bit confused. She’s chatting to different guys. She’s having a good crack.
“I’m glad she’s having a good time in here but I’ve never been in the situation where I’m talking to a girl and there has been other lads there. It is what it is.”
Who will Danny end up choosing when it comes down to it?
Love Island continues tomorrow at 9pm on ITV.
