LIL WAYNE has shared his final thoughts on whether he will ever perform a halftime show following the Kendrick Lamar halftime saga.
The New Orleans native Wayne was controversially passed up to perform at Super Bowl 59 in The Big Easy over the 17-time Grammy-winning rapper Lamar.

Wayne has maintained his belief that he should’ve been chosen to perform the big game show at the Superdome, which was ultimately given to Lamar.
In a recent interview with Rolling Stone, Wayne shared that he won’t be doing any halftime shows with the NFL.
“They stole that feeling,” the 42-year-old said to the outlet.
“I don’t want to do it. It was perfect.”
After Lamar was announced as the performer for February’s Super Bowl, Wayne’s friend, sports personality Skip Bayless, revealed that the NFL sent “Lil Tunechi” an apology letter.
But Wayne wouldn’t watch Lamar and singer SZA perform during halftime of the Philadelphia Eagles’ eventual Super Bowl win.
“Every time I looked, it was nothing that made me want to go inside and see what was going on,” Wayne said.
He previously opened up on the snub during an Instagram Live video.
“I blame myself for not being mentally prepare for a letdown and for just automatically mentally putting myself in that position,” Wayne said.
“I thought there was nothing better than that spot, that stage, that platform, in my city.
“So it hurt, it hurt a whole lot.”
While Wayne aired out his frustration of not being picked, he later clarified that he didn’t Lamar and spoke with him to wish him “all the best.”
Nonetheless, Wayne believes the snub was due to the fact he was “part of things I’ve never been a part of” before the February 9 game.
“Like [Michael] Rubin’s all-white parties. I’m doing s*** with Tom Brady. That was all for that. You ain’t never seen me in them types of venues,” Wayne said.
“I ain’t Drake. I ain’t out there smiling like that everywhere. I’m in the [studio] and recording.”

Wayne did return to the spotlight recently as he performed on the Saturday Night Live 50th anniversary special.
Lamar’s halftime show reportedly received an average audience of 133.5 million viewers – the most for any halftime show in history.
He was the first solo rapper to headline the Super Bowl halftime show.
Lamar’s performance also included cameos from Samuel L. Jackson and Serena Williams.
During the performance, Lamar performed his massive hit Drake diss Not Like Us, which is at the center of a defamation lawsuit from Drake.
The NFL hasn’t provided a comment regarding Lil Wayne’s latest comments.
