Life coach says you should always order coffee in hotels – not Starbucks

A financial advisor believes you should spend more on your coffee.

While this may seem like strange advice, Iman Gadzhi argues it’s a way to shift your mindset. By buying your morning latte in a fancy hotel instead of a regular coffee shop, it can teach you something.

Not only can you pick up on the habits and routines of wealthy and successful people, it can be more motivational than heading to a dreary chain.

On TikTok, the online life coach told his 160,000 followers: “Have a coffee in an expensive hotel. Your Starbucks is $4 and it’s not inspiring – that’s for sure.

“Whereas go to an expensive hotel. You don’t need to stay at the hotel, spend $2,000 a night on a room. You simply buy a coffee.”

Iman continued: “A coffee might cost you $8 or $10 but you’re going to look around and you’re going to see money around you.

“You’re going to see – what do wealthy people really wear? How do these people move? How do these people carry themselves?

“People are far more respectful to the waiters. There’s a lot more ‘please’, ‘thank you’, ‘how’s your day?’.

“They order in a different way, there’s more conviction, they have a different tonality in the way that they order, they even have a different pace. The pacing of what they’re saying is different than if you go to some regular normal establishment.”

The TikToker’s clip garnered more than 205,000 likes and definitely sparked debate in the comments section. Plenty said the advice had worked well for them.

One responder said: “I tried it and it’s such good advice. Loved he experience.” Another commented: “Keep doing it until if feels natural. It will. Plus… You’ll be dressed up. Always be prepared.”

A third wrote: “I learned this a few years ago when I decided I needed a nice dinner away, alone. I got dressed up, went to a restaurant in a nice hotel. Perspective changing. I still do this every now and again.” And a fourth added: “Absolutely 100%. And that’s how you manifest.”

Others were more sceptical about the tip though. One said: “I’d rather have coffee at my house. We create wealth for other people because we all die at the end.” And another agreed: “I made my own coffee at home. The best feeling ever.”
