Leeds are battling with Sheffield United and Norwich at the top of the Championship.
Only two of the three will be promoted, with Norwich currently clear at the top.
Leeds host Sheffield Wednesday this evening, and they go into that game now in third.
The Whites are level on points with Sheffield United, but it could have been a whole lot worse.
The Blades went ahead thanks to a 51st-minute Gary Madine goal before Millwall missed a late penalty.
But the Lions got the point their performance deserved when Jake Cooper netted deep into stoppage time at Bramall Lane.
And Leeds fans weren’t holding back in their celebrations.
One posted on social media: “Just celebrated a Millwall goal like Leeds had scored it”
Another added: “Get in there millwall, never thought I’d ever say that! F****** COME ON LEEDS NOW”
A third wrote: “It’s definitely our season for @LUFC when Millwall are doing us a favour and taking points off Sheffield United for us”
One other Leeds fan commented: “Millwall you absolute bobby dazzlers COME ON LEEDS”
And another wrote: “Don’t think any leeds fan has ever celebrated a Millwall goal until now”
This is Leeds’ best chance of a top-flight return since they lost the 2006 Championship playoff final to Watford.
And former star Gary Kelly is hoping Leeds can end a 15-year absence from the Premier League.
“It was horrible when we got relegated, you just feel like you’ve let down the fans and everyone in the city really,” said Kelly.
“It was hard watching them go down all that way. It’s great to see where they are now because the city is buzzing again.
“They’re just so close, it’s the 100 year anniversary so what a year to get promoted and they’re playing so well.”
