The Thai-Style Red Curry Lay’s were revealed after the finalists of their Do Us A Flavor contest last month.
The food brans received a whopping 700,000 submissions, which saw chip fans share ideas for new flavors, plus the opportunity to bag $1 million.
But how can food fans get their hands on the new snack?
The Thai-Style Red Curry Lay’s, are a Kroger exclusive and will be available at Kroger stores through June.
The chips will be available “in all divisions except Ruler and Harris Teeter,” Kroger spokesperson Erin Rolfes said.
Food fans will have to wait until June 1 to finally try the snack though, and they’re sure to pack a punch.
The tasty new flavor is just one of the finalists from the contest though.
The other finalists are Valentina & Lime, Bacon Grilled Cheese and Korean-Style Fried Chicken – and don’t they sound delicious?
All three flavors are rolling out nationwide, so eager food fans can give them a go.
This news comes as the major US grocery announced plans to open three new locations and improve existing stores in 2025.
The massive overhaul is part of its plan to build better fuel resources, while improving existing ones.
Kroger plans to build three new supermarkets and renovate 16 others in Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana.
The overall investment comes in at $130 million, and will go to developing new bonuses to the existing sites.
Two of the new stores will be located in Edgewood and Newport, Kentucky, per Grocery Dive.
oth of these locations are located just outside Cincinnati, where Kroger is headquartered.
The third and final new spot is coming to Eaton, Ohio, which is about 25 miles west of Dayton, Ohio.
The new store in Newport will measure at a whopping 50,000 square-ft.
It will include a pharmacy gas station and an off-site wine and spirits store.
The treats don’t stop there, because the Edgewood and Eaton locations have things of their own.
Both will feature a pickup facility, expanded departments and a fuel center, the announcement said.
