Lady Gabriella Windsor and her partner Thomas Kingston will marry this year on 18 May 2019.

The couple became engaged in August 2018, and their nuptials will be the latest in a spate of royal weddings.

They will marry at St George’s Chapel, Windsor, where Prince Harry, 34, and Meghan Markle, 37, married almost exactly a year earlier.

But Gabriella had one other significant relationship with a journalist, who went on to write a controversial article about his romance with the royal.

Aatish Taseer, 38, is the ex boyfriend of Lady Gabriella Windsor.

The journalist was born in London, but grew up in New Delhi, India.

He met Lady Gabriella at Amherst College in Massachusetts, where their romance begun.

The young royal was studying at Brown University at the time.

Aatish’s work has appeared in Time magazine, The Sunday Times, The Sunday Telegraph, The FT and Esquire, among others.

He has also written five books, and his debut – a memoir – was translated into 14 languages.

His first piece of fiction The Temple-Goers, published in 2010, was shortlisted for the 2010 Costa First Novel Award.

Aatish is now married to his husband Ryan Davis, who he wed in 2016.

In May 2018 Aatish wrote an article for Vanity Fair entitled Race and the Royals: An Outsider’s View Inside Kensington Palace.

In the piece the writer wrote about his relationship with Gabriella and her mother and father.

He also claimed to have taken MDMA in Windsor Castle and to have swum naked at Buckingham Palace.

He wrote: “It was a wonderful way to spend one’s 20s.”

He also recalled that Princess Michael said to him: “It’s all very well Ella marrying Mr. Taseer from India, or Pakistan.

“No one knows what to do with that. But the moment the girl down the road thinks she can be Princess, or Queen, it’s all over. The mystery is gone.”

The Royal Family have made no official comment on the article, but a spokesperson for Prince and Princess Michael of Kent told The Daily Mail: “There won’t be any comment on the story.”
