Veteran entertainment reporter Sam Rubin of KTLA in Los Angeles has died at age 64.
According to TMZ, the beloved journalist was rushed the the hospital on Friday after suffering a heart attack at his home.
Sources say he went into full cardiac arrest and by the time he was transported to UCLA West Hills Hospital, he had already been pronounced dead.
Rubin joined KTLA as an entertainment reporter in 1991 and had been a staple journalist in Los Angeles ever since, covering television, film and Hollywood’s biggest stars.
The Emmy-winning reporter also hosted his own show, “Hollywood Uncensored with Sam Rubin,” which ran on the news outlet for more than 100 episodes. One of his last celebrity interviews was with Ryan Seacrest.
Rubin is survived by his wife, Leslie, and four children.
