CHELSEA star Cole Palmer left fans stunned when he was spotted running out of Stamford Bridge after Saturday’s match with Everton.

The Blues’ supporters couldn’t believe the sight of Palmer, 22, – wearing a black hoodie with one phone on his ear and another in his hand – jogging away from the stadium in front of the crowd.

Palmer disappointed for Chelsea against Everton

A clip showing the bizarre incident made the rounds on social media and fans tried to understand what was going on.

And it turns out the England international was in a hurry to meet a fixer to collect a pair of Prada shoes at a petrol station.

A TikTok account from the delivery man posted a video of Palmer receiving the expensive footwear.

In a video they explained the long journey to make the delivery: “I got a message late last night when I was in the Middle East.

“Touchdown in London this morning, had to sort everything out super last minute.

“Caught a little bit of the game on TV. Listen, if you know how we do things here, we always deliver. Checking the pair out and making sure everything is all good.

“He got absolutely swarmed by fans driving out the game. Here he is signing his match top for me, always super easy to deal with – and yeah guys, as always, sorted!”

The news of what Palmer was up to has led to a mixed reaction from the Chelsea faithful.

One fan tweeted: “Kinda weird that on a huge matchday Cole is thinking about shoes and not 3 points. Still love him but like.”

Another commented: “Wait, what?”

Fans beg Cole Palmer ‘never change’ as footage of Chelsea star asking waiter bizarre question emerges

A third wrote: “First case where a footballer legitimately got a call and was in a hurry, and not just avoiding the fans?”

This fan said: “What a lad.”

And that one posted: “Just Palmer things.”

Chelsea managed to pick up an important 1-0 win over Everton but Palmer continued his rotten run of form, earning the WORST rating in SunSport’s player ratings for the game.

Nicolas Jackson‘s strike was enough to earn the West Londoners the three points, but the forward put in a particularly poor display by his usually lofty standards.

Another blank means the ex-Manchester City ace has now failed to score in his last 17 games.

ENZO MARESCA watched on from the stands as Chelsea stole a 1-0 win at home to Everton.

The game was shocked into life after 26 minutes when good pressure from the home side saw Nicolas Jackson take the ball on the turn and rifle it into the back of Jordan Pickford’s net, his first goal since returning from injury.

It was by no means easy after they grabbed the opener though, as the Blues dominated possession but failed to add more goals to their tally.

So who was to blame for another lethargic display? Did Cole Palmer finally show signs of improvement?

Check out our Chelsea player ratings.
