North Korea has released a bizarre advert in an attempt to attract more Russian tourists to the country.
Pyongyang opened its borders to Russians earlier this year, with around 100 visiting Masikryong Ski Resort on a four-day trip in February.
Now government officials hope to boost tourist numbers from Russia by enticing them to their seaside resorts through the launch of a new advertising campaign.
However, the advert may achieve the complete opposite of its intended goal and actually deter visitors due to its poor quality.
In fact, the video has already become something of a sensation on social media platforms like Reddit.
The advert was commissioned by the state-owned Korea International Travel Company and is thought to have been filmed at Majeon Beach in South Hamgyong Province.
The video shows young Russians playing volleyball and riding jet skis in the sea.
The whole shoot is plagued by poor audio quality, making it almost impossible to understand what people are saying.
Bizarrely, women are filmed walking around in bikinis, although it is believed to be against the law to do so in North Korea.
Pyongyang has introduced some strict regulations regarding clothing, with a number of items banned.
Prohibited clothing includes sleeveless shirts, jeans, hair dye, non-creased pants, T-shirts with foreign lettering and shoulder bags, as well as shorts and figure-hugging tops.
Recently Pyongyang also added “rooster hairstyle” and blouses with see-through sleeves to its banned fashion list.
Officials claimed they “obscure the image of a socialist system” and therefore will not be tolerated.

Dubbed the “North Korean Benidorm”, the Wonsan resort is reported to be able to accommodate as many as 100,000 visitors at a time.
It got its nickname after Kim Jong-un reportedly sent a fact-finding mission to Spain’s Costa Blanca in 2017.
