That’s according to NBA legend Tracy McGrady, who believes Durant doesn’t appreciate the drama surrounding his impending free agency.

New York traded away Kristaps Porzingis last month in a surprising deal with the Dallas Mavericks.

They have in turn created enough cap space for two max salary slots and the rumours immediately linked them with Durant.

And the Knicks made headlines again today when they removed a picture featuring Durant from an advertisement to season-ticket holders.

The photo included Mitchell Robinson alongside Durant in a game scenario, alongside a link providing more information for fans on renewing their season tickets.

But even more suspicious was the fact New York felt the need to take the photo down.

And McGrady suggests New York may be shooting themselves in the foot with their actions.

“If I’m KD, I’m straight annoyed with this,” McGrady said on The Jump.

“It’s causing all kinds of stir ups within the media and asking me all these questions.

“That’s why I’m fed up. That’s why I was on the podium going off on the media because of stuff like this.”

He added: “In the words of KD to New York, ‘grow up’.”

New York will also be hoping to land Zion Williamson in the 2019 draft this year.

They currently have the worst record in the NBA having won only 10 games all season.

But this year’s draft will see a new system implemented where the teams with the three worst regular-season records will each have a 14 per cent chance of winning the lottery.
