Philly’s defense took a big hit after losing Josh Sweat to the Arizona Cardinals in free agency.
The franchise have acted quickly to bring in Uche, who remains an untapped talent in the NFL.
Kansas City traded a sixth-round pick for Uche last summer.
The former Michigan Wolverine was a second round pick by the New England Patriots in 2020.
He enjoyed a breakout year in 2022, racking up 11.5 sacks through 15 regular-season games.
But he struggled for regular gametime before joining Andy Reid’s Chiefs last October.
Uche logged only a handful of tackles after being a healthy scratch in several games.
However, the Eagles believe he can be a star of the future if given regular minutes on the field.
Uche has 20.5 career sacks and 34 quarterback hits throughout his NFL career.
“More talent leaving KC. Still no word of any coming in?” wrote one concerned Chiefs fan on X.
“He will be a good fit in Philly,” said another.
“Loved him coming out of Michigan, would love to see him get back to his 2022 self where he put up 11.5 sacks,” added a third.
“With Uche on board, the Eagles’ pass rush just got a turbo boost. Fly, defense, fly!” commented a fourth.
The Eagles are rebuilding after Super Bowl success last month, with a host of defensive talent leaving the building.
