THE KANSAS City Chiefs have set a deadline over whether to leave Arrowhead and build a new $2billion stadium.
The NFL aces have been playing at their Missouri home since 1972, making it the oldest arena in the AFC.

Arrowhead boasts a whopping capacity of 76,416 and underwent a $375million renovation 15 years ago.
But the Chiefs have surged in success and popularity over the past few years.
They have won two of the last three Super Bowls, and three of the last six.
Superstars like Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes continue to draw in big crowds.
And those at the top now feel it’s the right time to capitalise on their trophies.
The only issue facing those in charge is whether to green-light another pricey Arrowhead rebuild.
Or they could instead decide to build a brand new stadium which would likely cost upwards of $2bn.
But now, the Chiefs have moved closer to making a final decision after a deadline was set.
Speaking to Front Office Sports, owner Clark Hunt confirmed he hopes things will be clear by the summer as to whether the Chiefs move out or remain at home.
He said: “We’re having good conversations and both options are very much still in play.
“I’m hopeful that we’ll have some news to announce by summer at the latest.”
The Chiefs’ stadium decision comes after ESPN decided to make a documentary on their 2024 campaign.
The Original Series docuseries will lift the lid on the Chiefs’ amazing history and modern-day success.
Filmmakers were given complete access to life behind the scenes of the latest season.
And although it ended in Super Bowl defeats to the Philadelphia Eagles, fans are expected to watch the show in their droves.
Indeed, it will boast the same creative minds as those behind the amazing NBA documentary The Last Dance, which focused on Michael Jordan’s Chicago Bulls.
