Juventus eye three Chelsea stars as Maurizio Sarri plots double transfer raid in January

Chelsea are set to receive transfer interest from Juventus as Maurizio Sarri looks to bolster his squad in January.

The Italian boss walked away from Stamford Bridge after a successful season at the club having finished third before winning the Europa League.

The former Napoli man failed to form a connection with fans, however, before Frank Lampard was chosen as his successor.

Corriere dello Sport have now reported that Sarri is keen on a reunion with Willian in January, as well as one of Emerson or Marcos Alonso.

Lampard has been full of praise for Willian this season, who was named as captain in the absence of Cesar Azpilicueta against Crystal Palace.

The Brazilian, who saw a bid from Barcelona rejected by Chelsea in the summer, has now made 307 appearances for the club, scoring 55 goals.

Marcos Alonso has also enjoyed a fruitful time in west London, scoring 19 goals in 133 appearances from defence, but has seen his game time limited over the past few seasons.

Emerson seems to be Lampard’s first-choice left-back having impressed in his 17 displays last season, and also has an age advantage of three years on his team-mate.

Lampard recently lavished praise on his former colleague Willian in a show of support for the club’s decision to reject interest in him, and mentioned his influence on the younger players.

“His work ethic off the ball, we talk to the wingers and what we want off the ball we can show them that video of what Willian did today,” he said.

“His quality, his bursts of pace, on the ball what he can do, the last four or five games I think he’s been our best player.

“And that’s a great thing to say when you’ve got players who are examples on the pitch around these young boys.”
