Justin Timberlake lawyer will have ‘a lot to say’ after discovery in DWI arrest

The defender hired by Justin Timberlake in the wake of his DWI arrest on Long Island briefly commented on the case Wednesday.

“I look forward to vigorously defending Mr. Timberlake on these allegations,” attorney Edward Burke Jr. told The News.

“I will have a lot to say at the appropriate time but am currently awaiting full discovery from the District Attorney’s office,” Burke Jr. added.

Burke, a former Suffolk County prosecutor, has defended high-profile clients in Hamptons cases in the past, including former NBA star Jason Kidd and socialite Lizzie Grubman, who made a plea deal that excluded a DWI charge after hitting 16 people with an SUV outside a nightclub in 2001.

Timberlake, 43, was busted early Tuesday morning after blowing through a stop sign and failing to stay on the right side of the road shortly after leaving The American Hotel in Sag Harbor.

“I had one martini, and I followed my friends home,” the pop star told the cops.

He was “unsteady” and “performed badly” on field sobriety tests, police said.

After his arrest, he was held for several hours and arraigned on DWI charges at the Sag Harbor Village Justice Court and released without bail later Tuesday morning.

Timberlake’s bleary-eyed mugshot was released Tuesday afternoon by the Sag Harbor Police Department.

His next scheduled court date is July 26.
