Judd Trump 'stopped breathing' during nail-biting end to £500k Saudi snooker final

Judd Trump revealed that he “stopped breathing for five minutes” at the end of his Saudi Arabia Snooker Masters deciding-frame win over Mark Williams.

Trump’s Welsh opponent raced into a 62-0 lead at 9-9 with £500,000 on the line, before missing a red to bottom-left which allowed Trump the chance to clean up for a dramatic victory.

“It’s a pretty good turnaround from where I was, it’s so special to win when you’re not playing your best,” Trump said before being handed the trophy. “I think as I said before Mark was the better player, I just managed to… I stopped breathing for the last five minutes of that frame but I managed to get over the line.”
