JOJO Siwa has revealed the moment she realised she was unhappy in her relationship with ex-girlfriend Kath Ebbs before their shock split.
The 21-year-old Dance Moms alum opened up after leaving Celebrity Big Brother last week and dumping the 27-year-old Australian content creator Kath at the ITV show’s wrap party.

Now back home in Los Angeles, JoJo gave her first in-depth interview on The Viall Files podcast with hosts Nick Viall and Natalie Joy, and spoke candidly about her perspective on her relationship while in the TV house.
She said her decision to end it had nothing to do with fellow housemate Chris Hughes.
JoJo insisted the moment the penny dropped that she was unhappy with Kath came when she looked at a photo from home.
She said: “I remember looking at my photo, because everyone was looking at their photo. Jack had his partner, Mickey had his dog, Chesney had his family, everyone had their photo.
“And I had mine as well and it was a group photo with a few people in it and I remember thinking, uhm, I wasn’t happy this day.
“And I remembered why I wasn’t happy this day. And now I’m here looking at this photo realising there is not a single reason I should not be happy this day. I’m with my family in Disney World and it’s Christmas.”
She said that the moment of realisation came early on during her time in the house.
The star went on: “And that kind of made me not be able to… there’s a shot, I don’t know if it’s on the live stream but you can see something is wrong. But this realisation happened on the first or maybe the second day.
“And I remember thinking, what is this, what is this thought?
“And it opened a cage in a few areas of my life. It wasn’t just one area of my life, but it just opened a can of worms.
“That then, for a few days, really did me in. Whenever I was occupied or doing something, I was great, invested, my feet was in, and I was feeling happy.
“The second that I had time to think, I remember I would just go sit on the bike.
“My brain just started to run with so many things that I have been OK with and tolerated that nobody should.”
JoJo said she knew she hadn’t been imagining their problems when she reunited with Kath after the CBB final.
She said: “It put a lot of things into perspective for me. Then at the end, those things got validated very quickly.”
She admitted it was difficult to have such intense thoughts without being able to confide in anyone, due to the risk of it being aired on the show.
When asked by Natalie what conclusion she had drawn from the moment captured in the photo, JoJo chose her words carefully.
She said: “Look, I will say this out of respect for another human in this situation — they have asked not to speak about it, to not speak about them.
“I told them, look, that’s going to make me look like I am avoidant of the situation. I am not avoidant of the situation.”
She also addressed speculation involving Chris, firmly denying he played any part in her split from Kath.
JoJo said: “Obviously a lot of people think Chris has something to do with it. Chris does not have absolutely anything to do with it.
“Chris and I are friends. We have a very great friendship. It is a very strange like, you were meant to be in my life, we have a very special bond.
“It’s genuinely unlike any friendship bond I have ever created.
“But my situations are completely unrelated and that’s unfortunate because things got misconstrued.”

The Dance Moms star had been introduced to 27-year-old Australian content creator Kath by a mutual friend called G-Flip six months earlier.

Speaking in March at the 36th Annual GLAAD Media Awards, JoJo said of her relationship: “I am so happy. I am in a very mature relationship, and it’s beautiful. It’s taught me so much about life.
“It’s taught me so much about love and respect, and it’s a beautiful thing.
“It’s different in more ways than I can count. I wouldn’t even know what to say the biggest is ‘cause just everything is so different and special.”
Kath even claimed they had talked about marriage together.
However, JoJo’s romance with Kath abruptly hit the skids on April 25, 2025, at the Celebrity Big Brother wrap party.
JoJo dumped Kath at the bash after spending 19 days in the CBB house – where she had grown close to Love Island star Chris Hughes.
