Daly is still an entertainer and a firm crowd favorite with his larger than life personality.
He has played four events on the PGA Tour Champions this year.
The last of those was at the Insperity Invitational at The Woodlands in Texas.
He finished a shocking 27 over par after three hugely forgettable rounds.
Daly was a massive 11 shots worse off than his next closest competitor Corey Pavin.
His performances was the worst of the year by far.
He finished level par and tied for 56th place at the Hoag Classic in March.
And he followed that up with seven over par at the Galleri Classic a week later.
Daly also played the James Hardie Pro Football Hall of Fame Invitational last month.
He finished six over par in a tie for 50th place.
The 59-year-old won the PGA Championship in 1991.
He followed up with victory at The Open Championship in 1995.
And Daly still takes part in one of golf’s little-known annual traditions.
He heads to Augusta, Georgia every April for The Masters.
Daly camps out at a Hooters branch just down the road from the location of the first major of the year.
According to ESPN, he earned $780,000 last year from selling hats, golf balls and cigars.
Daly was always the bad boy of golf, introducing himself to the sport with a 1991 PGA Championship win.
He enjoyed smoking cigarettes, drinking beer, and sporting his iconic mullet on the golf course.
Daly has battled health issues in recent years, fighting bladder cancer in 2020 and undergoing 16 surgeries for various other issues.
Still he remains a legend in the golf community.
