Jannik Sinner hits back at 'famous' tag as tennis poster boy prepares for Wimbledon charge

Speaking about his fitness ahead of Wimbledon, Sinner explained: “After Paris, I took a few days off and then I went back to work. There are no secrets. Physically I feel much better than on the eve of the Roland Garros, where I arrived with some doubt.

“We have a lot of work in the last few days and I’m ready to compete. I am lucky because tennis was a hobby for me at first and now it has become a job. In my mind, though, it is still a hobby.

“I love to go out and play. I know how many sacrifices I made to find myself in this position. It’s always an honour to take the field and I never take anything for granted. I’m glad to be back here, the beginning of a very special tournament is approaching.”
