Jaguar Land Rover to cut bills to ‘just £30’ per month for dozens of Range Rover customers

Jaguar Land Rover has dramatically cut bills to just £30 for dozens of owners in a major boost this spring.

The SUV firm has promised to make significant contributions to customers using their own in-house car insurance firm with charges set to be almost axed.

Jaguar Insurance and Land Rover Insurance claim the average monthly quote premium stands at less than £180 per month.

More than 37,500 quotes have since been issued to clients since services were launched in October 2023.

However, a new announcement welcomes the introduction of a new Insurance Contribution initiative.

This will provide £150 per month funding towards the cost of cover for three years on certain qualifying models.

Motorists must have purchased the brand new Range Rover and Range Rover Sport models first registered between May 1 and  September 30 2024 to take advantage of the programme.

However, the division will have a drastic impact on running costs with insurance bills effectively cut from £180 per month to just £30 in some circumstances.

Patrick Mcgilluycuddy, Managing director of JLR UK said: “We’re working hard to support our clients every step of the way and are pleased to offer a further, bespoke insurance initiative.

“JLR has an ‘all-fronts’ strategy to tackle the negative impact organised criminality is having on clients, insurance premiums, and the insurance industry itself.

“Our efforts and investments include a raft of initiatives with police forces, port authorities, international law enforcement agencies and, of course, UK insurers.”

After a spate of thefts involving Range Rover models, the firm has reinforced safety with major investments.

The car brand has pumped £15milion to update the security of previous generation models including those out of warranty.

Since 2022, more than 150,000 vehicles released over the past six years onwards have received security updates.

Meanwhile, engineers continue their work to develop anti-theft software for vehicles produced back in 2016 and 2017.

The work seems to have paid off with data from the Police National Computer (PNC) showing that crime rates are a lot lower.

Since January 2022, only 0.2 percent of new Range Rover and new Range Rover Sport vehicles have been taken by thieves.
