IRN-BRU to deliver drinks to hungover employees across UK cities – here's how to get one

IRN-BRU is set to deliver drinks across the UK to employees nursing a hangover, following the most common Christmas work party blunders such as oversharing personal details, nodding off, or flirting with someone inappropriate.

The survey of 2,000 workers also revealed other festive faux pas like questionable dance moves, spilling food or drink on oneself, and monopolising the karaoke machine.

These incidents have resulted in a quarter of respondents experiencing post-party anxiety, with some even avoiding the office the next day.

The study, commissioned by IRN-BRU, found that while 63% typically look forward to their Christmas party, 34% dread the prospect of a hangover at work the next day.

Despite feeling excited about the festivities, 45% are concerned about potential awkwardness with colleagues as they worry about having done something foolish.

In response to these findings, IRN-BRU has launched a festive truck to deliver ice-cold beverages to those battling post-party hangovers.

Spokesperson, Kenny Nicholson, commented: “We all know that dreaded post-Christmas party feeling but we’re here to help. It’s one of the biggest nights of the year for the office, but no one wants to feel like an idiot – or as Scot’s would say, ‘fanny’ – the morning after.”

“That’s why this Christmas, we’re creating a festive truck dropping off the ultimate pick-me-up when they need it most.”

The truck will visit selected cities in December, including Edinburgh on the 12th, Glasgow on the 13th, Manchester on the 18th, and London on the 19th.

Brits can secure a free drink by simply texting 07598 402 867 and sharing their party regrets.
