Incest monster Josef Fritzl, 90, 'no longer a danger' but cannot be freed from prison

Incest monster Josef Fritzl, who kept his daughter captive in his basement for 24 years has been ruled by a court as ‘no longer a danger’, but cannot be freed from prison.

Fritzl, 90, was jailed in 2009 but a court has now ruled that due to ‘special preventive reasons’, he will remain in prison.

A psychiatric report concluded that Fritzl’s mental state had declined severely as a result of dementia, reducing what it termed his “dangerousness” and ability to re-offend.
