AN EX-NEW England Patriots player believes North Carolina should axe Bill Belichick after his viral CBS interview.
One of Belichick’s former players has expressed concern about the iconic coach in the aftermath of his brutal CBS interview, which also featured his girlfriend, 24-year-old Jordon Hudson.

Belichick’s relationship with Hudson has been under a microscope, and talk of the couple only intensified with their interview with CBS’s Sunday Mornings last weekend.
The interview revealed that Hudson interrupted multiple times to stop Belichick from answering questions.
And the UNC coach Belichick claimed that CBS was supposed to only discuss his new book, but reporter Tony Dokoupil asked questions about his personal life.
This week, former Patriots player Ted Johnson thinks the Tar Heels should fire their new coach due to worries about his fit at the collegiate level, or any level for that matter.

“I think the … Tar Heels should consider firing Bill Belichick. They should consider letting him go at this point,” Johnson said.
“It’s a lot of money. … but I look at Bill Belichick and I wonder if he’s fit to coach an NFL Team, let alone fit to coach a college team which, again, I put more onus on the character and personality and just overall character, if you will, of a college coach than I do a pro coach.
“I’m worried that Bill Belichick just isn’t fit to coach college kids, and UNC should consider cutting ties with Bill Belichick.”
Johnson played under Belichick for five seasons from 2000 to 2004.
He won three Super Bowls with Belichick and spent 10 total seasons in Foxborough after being a 1995 second-round pick.
Johnson’s stance on UNC letting go of the six-time Super Bowl-winning coach is due to his idea of what a college coach’s role is.
The 52-year-old referred to Bill McCartney, who coached him in Colorado and made the university “proud” due to the example he believes the late coach set.
Johnson doesn’t think UNC is happy with Belichick’s recent storylines, as most of them are centered on his relationship with Hudson and her role with the school.
Among the storylines is that Belichick asked for Hudson to be included on his emails.
“These big institutions are proud institutions, and it reflects on the institution when you hire coaches that aren’t reflecting the value of what you’re all about, and I just don’t think Bill is doing that right now,” Johnson said.
“If I’m UNC, I’ve heard all of you guys say … this is going to get worse before it gets better.

“So with that in mind, don’t you think it’s better to cut loose now than see this thing through?”
Johnson believes Hudson’s presence with the football team warrants Belichick to be fired.
TMZ has reported that UNC is concerned about Hudson’s influence on Belichick.
There have also been reports that Belichick’s close friends are worried about him due to his CBS interview backlash.
Belichick’s statement on the matter was sent through his new college football program, UNC.

CBS hit back at Belichick’s claims and denied violating any type of agreement, and that the interview would be “wide-ranging” with Belichick.
“When we agreed to speak with Mr. Belichick, it was for a wide-ranging interview,” the statement from CBS read.
“There were no preconditions or limitations to this conversation.
“This was confirmed repeatedly with his publisher before the interview took place and after it was completed.”
