'I'm over 50 with crepey skin, but this £10 No7 cream leaves my turkey neck smoother'

Boots’ £10 sale is back today and it includes plenty of skincare and bodycare, including the highly sought after No7 Restore & Renew face and neck night cream.

Boasting an enhanced new formula, anti-ageing lovers said the No7 cream “works better than expensive brands”. It is said to target key signs of ageing like loss of elasticity, fine lines and wrinkles.

One of the major ingredients is the patented MATRIXYL 3000+, a collagen peptide-based technology developed to provide 24-hour moisturisation, for visibly younger-looking skin. It’s no surprise that it has an average star rating of 4.75 out of five stars – and now shoppers can pick up a tub for £10 instead of £32.95.

A happy reviewer said: “I keep trying other moisturisers, some really expensive ones, but I keep coming back for this. My skin looks more even in tone and moisturised. They occasionally appear on the Tuesday deals £10 so I will buy a few then.”

One woman in her 50s noticed a difference after using the cream and added: “I have tight but oily 50+ skin and needed a nighttime reset. This cream is perfect – my skin feels protected and my crepey décolletage and turkey neck are so much smoother!”

No7 explained how the Restore & Renew night cream also helps to improve sleep quality, saying: “As we snooze our skin goes into repair mode, that’s why we have enhanced our No7 Night Creams. Each jar is infused with a new pre-sleep fragrance to help you to feel relaxed and unwind in preparation for sleep – you can say goodnight to fine lines as they appear visibly reduced in just 4 weeks.”

Shoppers reported their face “feels firmer, nourished and looks revitalised after one night of use”. But one customer felt the cream was “too heavy” on her skin and it didn’t absorb well, leaving her with blocked pores. Another also said the texture was “too thick for my liking”.

But others shared in the comments and explained “only a small amount of product is needed” and it’ll blend in seamlessly. “It has made my skin go from terribly dehydrated to thoroughly moisturised,” they added.

Other than the No7 face and night cream, French pharmacy brand Embryolisse Lait-Crème Concentré is a celebrity-loved product that’s available on Amazon for £14.99.

The multi-function cream can be used as a makeup primer or nourishing mask to leave skin feeling soft and hydrated.

For those looking for a lightweight formula, Elizabeth Arden’s Retinol + HPR Ceramide Water Cream (£75) is a good option. The light-as-air cream is gentle enough for day and nighttime usage and first-time retinol users.
