Once weighing 16 stone, Maya Olive has revealed how she managed to lose 100 lbs by following a simple meal plan.

Sharing pictures of her food dishes online, people often praise them for looking so delicious – and can’t believe those were the same meals that helped her shed all the weight.

Maya, who is 5ft 2in, credits the keto diet for her transformation.

After losing so much weight through the low-carb diet, Maya was left with sagging skin around her tummy area, which she could even grab with both hands.

The keto diet is a high-fat eating plan that aims to induce a metabolic state called ketosis.

This means the body burns fat for energy instead of carbohydrates.

Maya, who follows a heavily meat-based diet, starts every morning with lemon water.

For lunch, she has a chicken salad, followed by chicken and vegetables for dinner.

Now, she credits the diet for “changing her life.”

For the past seven years, Maya has been on this diet, which has allowed her to maintain her weight of 45kg.

The diet has also enabled her to drink alcohol without gaining weight.

However, due to being left with so much loose skin, which she had to tuck into her jeans, Maya decided to have a tummy tuck.

She underwent the surgery in the UK, paying £8,500 for the procedure.

Speaking to her followers, she said: “Here’s something they don’t tell you about getting a tummy tuck.”

Different feeling

Pointing towards her private area, she added: “Your… also gets a tuck. It looks and feels different. I said what I said.”

Maya also wrote in the caption: “This one shocked me to my core when I came out of surgery, and it defo takes adjusting. You’re just brand new, really.”

Maya has gained over 8,600 followers on TikTok, with her videos surpassing 778,000 views.

Many people flock to the comments section to compliment her and praise her hard work.

A second added: “You did amazing.”

A third commented: “YOU really did that!”

Maya, who has inspired many to try the keto diet, has also sparked conversations in the comments section.

One person shared: “I do miss a bit of chocolate though. When it’s that time each month, I struggle. It’s the only thing I miss.”

To which another suggested: “Try cocoa powder with coconut cream mixed.”

A second added: “Keto low-carb is easy to follow—it really works.”

How to blast belly fat WITHOUT going to gym or dieting

Chew your food

This mindfulness trick is used to focus your brain on the food you are eating – how it tastes and feels – rather than scoffing it in a hurry. If the brain does not register that you have eaten, you’ll soon crave more food.

Avocado a day

Eating avocado every day can fight visceral fat in women, which collects around the organs in the stomach and can lead to diabetes, heart attack, and some cancers, according to a University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign study of 105 people.

Avoid fizzy drinks

Losing belly “fat” may just be a case of preventing bloating, which can be onset by fizzy soft drinks. Instead, keep hydrated with water.

Reduce alcohol

Alcohol does no favours at all for our health or figures. It is ’empty calories’, meaning it contributes to your calorie intake without giving any nutritional benefit.

Hangovers can also lead you to eat more fatty foods, while putting you off exercising.

Sleep more

Various studies have shown that if you’re not sleeping well, it can cause weight gain.

People are more likely to crave junk food when they are sleep deprived because, not only are they in need of an energy boost, but their appetite hormones are all over the place.

Reduce stress

Stress causes an imbalance of hormones, particularly cortisol. This hormone has been linked with obesity and excess belly fat.

Find ways to reduce your stress to avoid the so-called ‘stress belly’.
