I lost seven stone in 11 months on fat jabs – but now trolls say I’m ‘skin & bones’ and look like a DRUG user

A WOMAN has revealed that she lost over seven stone after taking Mounjaro for 11 months.

Ashley, who is from the UK, claimed that she is “happier than ever” thanks to the weight-loss injections, but experts and NHS medics have raised concerns about the dangers of ‘fat jabs’ and warn they shouldn’t be taken without a prescription.

Posting on social media, the brunette beauty shared a short clip showing off her Mounjaro weight loss, leaving many totally stunned.

But her weight loss has caused quite a big discussion online – whilst it left many very impressed, others claimed using Mounjaro made her look like ‘skin and bones’.

Not only this, but nasty keyboard warriors even accused her of having ‘that drug look’ too.

Mounjaro, regarded as the King Kong of jabs, is to be rolled out on the NHS.

Sun GP Dr Zoe Williams claimed it can save the lives of people with “life-threatening levels of obesity”.

But despite this, the NHS website warned: “Never take an anti-obesity medicine if it has not been prescribed to you. These types of medicines may not be safe for you and can cause serious side effects.”

About half a million Brits use weight loss drugs – and that number is expected to double in the next year.

Mounjaro is said to suppress the appetite, making people feel fuller for longer.

Such injections are licensed for patients with type 2 diabetes and to assist those who are clinically obese – with a Body Mass Index of 30 or over.

One jab is administered each week but the duration is dependent on a person’s weight.

The drugs can be lawfully supplied when prescribed by a practitioner – such as a doctor, nurse or a pharmacist-independent prescriber.

But people are now buying them through online pharmacies with insufficient checks.

Just last month, figures from the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency revealed fat jabs had been linked to 82 deaths across the UK.

And the family of a man from Burton upon Trent, Staffs, who died after taking Mounjaro, are now calling for a probe into the jab’s “potential to kill”.

‘The best thing I ever started’

But despite the dangers, this content creator, who has 22,600 followers on TikTok, eagerly took to social media to show off her Mounjaro weight loss.

In a short video shared online, Ashley posed in an all black outfit to show off her figure before and after her weight loss transformation.

Prior to using the fat jabs, she wore her long hair down and stood wearing a black top and leggings.

But seconds later, viewers saw Ashley pose in a black vest and leggings, with her hair scraped back, as she proudly gave her followers a close-up look at her slimmed down frame.

Alongside the short clip, Ashley wrote: “The difference 45 weeks on Mounjaro can make…”

She then said: “100lbs down and happier than ever!!”

The NHS 12-step plan to help you lose weight

FROM faddy diets to dodgy detoxes – most of us have heard it all before when it comes to weight loss.

But burning fat can be easy and mostly free.

In fact, the NHS has a whole load of medically-approved tips for weight loss and shedding body fat once and for all…

  1. Don’t skip breakfast
Skipping breakfast will not help you lose weight. You could miss out on essential nutrients and you may end up snacking more throughout the day because you feel hungry.
  2. Eat regular meals
Eating at regular times during the day helps burn calories at a faster rate. It also reduces the temptation to snack on foods high in fat and sugar.
  3. Eat plenty of fruit and veg
Fruit and veg are low in calories and fat, and high in fibre – 3 essential ingredients for successful weight loss. They also contain plenty of vitamins and minerals.
  4. Get more active
Being active is key to losing weight and keeping it off. As well as providing lots of health benefits, exercise can help burn off the excess calories you cannot lose through diet alone.
  5. Drink lots of water
People sometimes confuse thirst with hunger. You can end up consuming extra calories when a glass of water is really what you need.
  6. Eat high fibre foods
Foods containing lots of fibre can help keep you feeling full, which is perfect for losing weight. Fibre is only found in food from plants, such as fruit and veg, oats, wholegrain bread, brown rice and pasta, and beans, peas and lentils.
  7. Read food labels
Knowing how to read food labels can help you choose healthier options. Use the calorie information to work out how a particular food fits into your daily calorie allowance on the weight loss plan.
  8. Use a smaller plate
Using smaller plates can help you eat smaller portions. By using smaller plates and bowls, you may be able to gradually get used to eating smaller portions without going hungry. It takes about 20 minutes for the stomach to tell the brain it’s full, so eat slowly and stop eating before you feel full.
  9. Don’t ban foods
Do not ban any foods from your weight loss plan, especially the ones you like. Banning foods will only make you crave them more. There’s no reason you cannot enjoy the occasional treat as long as you stay within your daily calorie allowance.
  10. Don’t stock junk food
To avoid temptation, do not stock junk food – such as chocolate, biscuits, crisps and sweet fizzy drinks – at home. Instead, opt for healthy snacks, such as fruit, unsalted rice cakes, oat cakes, unsalted or unsweetened popcorn, and fruit juice.
  11. Cut down on alcohol
A standard glass of wine can contain as many calories as a piece of chocolate. Over time, drinking too much can easily contribute to weight gain.
  12. Plan your meals
Try to plan your breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks for the week, making sure you stick to your calorie allowance. You may find it helpful to make a weekly shopping list.

Later, Ashley beamed: “Literally the best thing I ever started!”

Whilst Ashley didn’t mention experiencing any side effects, she did confirm that she also followed a calorie deficit and did exercise whilst taking Mounjaro.

She penned: “I’ve done Reformer Pilates the whole time which is a full body workout and I get in about 90-100k steps a week which I think has definitely helped.”

Big divide

The TikTok clip, which was posted under the username @ashley.x.x.x, has clearly left many open-mouthed, as it has quickly gone viral and racked up 3.4 million views.

But social media users were left totally divided by Ashley’s body overhaul – whilst many eagerly rushed to the comments to praise her slim new look, not everyone was as kind.

One person said: “You don’t look any healthier now, you went from obese which is dangerous to skin and bones, zero muscle tissue which is just as dangerous.”

Another added: “You actually looked much better before.”

A third commented: “Look old now.”

How cutting out sugar can help you lose weight

It might sound obvious, but cutting out sugar can help you lose weight – and this is why

  1. Reduced alorie intake: Sugar is calorie-dense but not nutrient-dense, meaning it provides a lot of calories without making you feel full. By cutting out sugar, you naturally reduce your overall caloric intake, which can create a calorie deficit and lead to weight loss.
  2. Lower Insulin Levels: Consuming sugar, especially in large amounts, causes spikes in blood sugar levels, leading to increased insulin production. Insulin is a hormone that promotes fat storage. By reducing sugar intake, you can help stabilize blood sugar and insulin levels, making it easier for your body to burn fat.
  3. Decreased Cravings: Sugar can be addictive and lead to cravings for more sugary foods. By cutting it out, you may find that your cravings for unhealthy, high-calorie foods decrease, making it easier to stick to a healthier diet.
  4. Improved Satiety: Foods high in sugar are often low in fiber and protein, which are essential for feeling full and satisfied. By replacing sugary foods with more nutrient-dense options like fruits, vegetables, lean proteins, and whole grains, you can increase your satiety and reduce overall calorie consumption.
  5. Better Nutrient Intake: When you cut out sugary foods, you often make room for more nutritious foods. This can improve your overall diet quality, providing your body with the vitamins and minerals it needs to function optimally, which can support weight loss efforts.
  6. Reduced Fat Storage: High sugar intake, particularly from fructose, can lead to increased fat production in the liver, contributing to weight gain and obesity. Cutting out sugar helps to reduce this effect.
  7. Enhanced Metabolism: Reducing sugar can improve metabolic health, including better insulin sensitivity and lower risk of metabolic syndrome, which can facilitate weight loss.

By cutting out sugar and replacing it with healthier options, you can create a more balanced and sustainable diet that supports weight loss and overall well-being.

Whilst someone else cruelly snapped: “This Ozempic and Mounjaro literally makes people’s faces have that drug look. Happy you lost the weight but at the cost of destroying your bones and health.”

But to this, Ashley confidently clapped back and wrote: “No damage to my bones whatsoever and my health is better than ever. Hope your kids grow up to be as kind as you, they must be proud to have a dad like you.”

Despite this, at the same time, others were keen to congratulate Ashley on her weight loss.
