AS the UK prepares for rising temperatures, Brits are exploring different ways to stay cool.

And one TikTok creator called Ruby Granger has found just the solution.

She has taken to the platform to share her top tip for surviving the sweltering summer months.

Her advice has struck a chord with those who dread the heat: ice neck rings.

“I wore this thing around my neck every day last summer, pretty much,” Ruby revealed in her viral video.

She now considers the ice neck rings a “summer essential,” particularly as someone who doesn’t enjoy hot weather.

To combat her aversion to the heat, Ruby relies on the reusable ice pack, which is designed to be worn around the neck and helps regulate body temperature.

“If you don’t like hot weather too, or you don’t like getting hot, I’d highly recommend one of these,” she explained.

The cooling accessory is currently available for as little as £2.31 on Temu, and can also be purchased from Amazon and Superdrug.

Ruby shared that she wears the ice pack around her neck constantly, even when at home.

With forecasts predicting soaring temperatures across the UK, Ruby’s advice couldn’t be more timely.

“I’m gonna be wearing this the whole time,” she remarked.

“I would recommend getting one of these beforehand. You can get them online. I got mine online.”

Ruby, who is known as ‘rubygranger8’ on TikTok, garnered 237.4k views within just one day of posting her video.

The clip has also received 175 comments, with many viewers sharing their thoughts on the cooling hack.

One commenter wrote: “Immediately googled ice neck ring.

“I dislike summer as well, and when it gets really hot, I feel like I can’t breathe.”

Another added: “Yes, finally someone who understands.”

A third said: “Omg I’ve never seen these—ordering now!”

As the summer heat intensifies, Ruby’s practical and affordable solution offers a lifeline for those looking to stay comfortable during the warmer months.

How to keep pets cool during hot weather

EVERYONE’S doing their best to beat the heat and stay cool as temperatures soar.

So here’s The Sun’s best advice on what you can do to keep your pet cool during hot weather.

CATS: Drop some ice cubes in your cat’s drinking bowl.

Wait until the end of the day before you play with kitty, when its cooler.

Pet your cat with a wet cloth, most cats don’t mind some moisture on their fur.

DOGS: Give them a wet towel to lay on.

Avoid walking on hot pavements and consider getting booties for them to insulate their toes.

Avoid exercise at the hottest parts of the day.
