'I bought a £20k house on Amazon – before spotting glaring issue as soon as I stepped in'

A man who bought a prefab house on Amazon may be rethinking his purchase after discovering how low its ceilings are.

TikToker @hittaa_jeff bought the prefab on a whim, but didn’t sound overly enthusiastic about it in a clip posted on the video sharing platform. According to the Mirror, the buyer paid £20,500 ($26,000) for the house.

The property arrived complete with two sofas, including one in pink, but was in storage as the buyer had yet to find a plot of land on which to locate it.

It was fully plumbed with a bathroom, but the owner said the ceilings were “very low”, before stretching his arm up and touching one.

He told his 122,000 followers: “This is the house. It’s big. The crazy thing about it is I thought they sent the wrong order because it came in a white container.”

The content creator led his viewers around the house, showing off the kitchen, lounge area and bathroom. On the ceilings, he said he was 5ft 8, so they are not too high.

Some followers suggested he could rent it out on AirBnB, while others said they would buy one too.

TikTok user Wanda Mcdowell226 said her daughter’s dream is to have a tiny home, adding: “I showed her your video and she ran to Amazon.”

Fellow TikTok user Ree_ree commented: “I wonder how the insulation is? It might be a hot box in the summer and an igloo in the winter.”

Divinelove MrsB said: “I am extremely excited for you and proud of as well your home looks beautiful.. and thank you for the update.”

Amazon advertises a range of prefabs and trailers, with price tags ranging from £31,700 ($40,000) to £3,960 ($5,000).
