Wilko has reported sales of its BBQ range have risen by 623% since last month as Brits rushed to make the most of the sunny weather.
Since the long Easter bank holiday weekend last month the retailer has seen an incredible spike in sales, with the £30 Kettle Grill proving the breakout hit among shoppers wanting to upgrade their outdoor cooking equipment.
The affordable charcoal BBQ, part of the retailer’s extensive summer barbecue and outdoor living range, comes with a durable chrome-plated steel cooking grid and a removable lid for when you want to keep the heat in when cooking your burgers, bangers and meat cuts to perfection.
The compact design also comes with an ash receiver and handy storage space beneath the grill, which can be used to rest tools or prepped food on.
Bargain-hunters can now snap up the popular barbecue for half the price online thanks to money-saving website TopCashback.
The cashback site is currently offering all new members a free £15 spend at Wilko until 1st July – giving savvy shoppers plenty of time to snap up the bargain (if stocks last that long).
To get yourself one for less, just sign up to TopCashback.co.uk for free and find the £15 cashback at Wilko deal.
Click through to Wilko via the link to purchase the grill as normal. Then TopCashback will then track your order within seven days and you’ll receive the £15 bonus to cover some of the costs around two weeks after the deal ends.
The top-rated barbecue currently has a 4.6-stars on Wilko.com and it has even won over the experts. Neil Fairhurst, Head of Gardening at Wilko, commented: ‘Whilst wilko garden and outdoor living products have been well received by customers so far this season, nothing has flown off the shelves quite like the Wilko BBQ Kettle Grill 44cm, which seems to be the hero BBQ for the summer.
“We recommend shoppers take advantage of the wash-out weather over the coming week and beat the crowd if they want to get hold of the BBQ, as the way it has been received and reviewed so far, we’re expecting to see further stock fly off the shelves.
“We’re delighted to help the nation get their garden ready for summer without spending all of their hard-earned cash, and hope everyone manages to get hold of the Kettle Grill BBQ before it sells out.”
