Harlem pedestrian, 66, killed by hit-and-run SUV driver

A 66-year-old man crossing a Harlem street was fatally struck by an SUV driver who fled the scene, police said Monday.

The victim was walking downtown on Fifth Ave. when he struck by the driver of a Toyota RAV4 with TLC plates zipping west on E. 135th St. about 9:10 p.m. Sunday, cops said.

The victim was rushed to Harlem Hospital, where he died about 20 minutes later. His name was not immediately released.

The driver sped off and has not been caught.
