Disturbing footage shows the moment an out-of-control rave turns into a street riot as revellers turn against the police and pelt officers with bottles and other missiles.
Police in riot gear were deployed to a housing estate in Hackney, north London, where hundreds of youths were attending a rave which turned violent.
A man was fighting for his life after being stabbed as violence flared on a warm Saturday night, and a woman was also knifed on a weekend where four people were killed in the capital.
Video shows police officers detaining a man at gunpoint and then taking cover as they are pelted with missiles, including glass bottles, as people in the crowd cheer.
Officers were initially called to reports of a party with a man seen in possession of a knife, the Metropolitan Police said.
A cheering cameraman boasts about the terrified police, saying: “Them man are shook, fam.”
The violent scenes took place after police dressed in riot gear were called to the party in Woodberry Down Estate at 11pm.
The large police presence saw helicopters and dogs at the wild party after locals reported the youths running riot.
A man in his 20s was initially suffering life-threatening stab wounds but his condition has stabilised since.
A woman was also found with minor stab wounds and she has since been discharged after receiving treatment.
The video emerged as four people were killed during a weekend of carnage in London as the knife crime epidemic grips the capital.
The clip begins by showing two officers trying to arrest a male who lies face-flat on the floor. However huge crowds of youths scream and protest against his arrest.
The cameraman pans to show the hundreds of wild ravers who have flooded the estate.
Following the man’s arrest, the terrifying mob of ravers viciously turn against the police and start hurling missiles and bottles at them.
Some of the officers can be seen trying to protect their faces from the oncoming missiles and trying to get away.
The huge group of youths continue senselessly taking shots at the officers and at the police van.
The cameraman mockingly remarks on how the police are scared by the rioting youths, saying: “Them man are shook, fam.”
The cameraman then excitedly shouts: “Oh s**t. That car is getting drilled.”
Suddenly, a huge squad of police dressed in riot gear descend on the scene to try to stop the violence.
In a second video, the riot police are seen storming into the estate. As the youths watch the officers arrive in full force, they scream and start running away.
The squealing cameraman can be heard screaming “Oh s**t” as the footage ends.
