Speaking to TikTok personality Connor Mather, Take Two CEO Strauss Zelnick hyped the upcoming Grand Theft Auto sequel, describing it as “extraordinary”.
“I think it’ll be extraordinary and worth waiting for,” Zelnick said. “Our teams are focused on what’s new that you haven’t even thought about.
“You thought you were anticipating this thing but this is way bigger and way better and more exciting and more beautiful than you could possibly thought of.”
It may not be the trailer we were all hoping for, but it’s a positive update for a game that’s less than a year away from launch.
I’m still holding out hope for GTA 6 Trailer 2 to drop before the end of the year, perhaps as a Christmas treat.
Something definitely appears to be in the works, after a user on Reddit noticed that Rockstar recently updated the GTA 6 YouTube playlist.
The playlist was previously updated following the release of Trailer 1, which has led to speculation that a second trailer could drop in the coming days.
What we do know for sure is that Grand Theft Auto 6 takes place in the state of Leonida, which is based on Florida.
Rockstar explains: “Grand Theft Auto VI heads to the state of Leonida, home to the neon-soaked streets of Vice City and beyond in the biggest, most immersive evolution of the Grand Theft Auto series yet.”
The previously released trailer gives fans a look some of the map locations as seen from the skies above. This includes locations based on the Florida Keys, as well as the beach and more.
The trailer also hints at a potential game-changing new feature for Grand Theft Auto 6, which will up the scale to never-before-seen levels.
