AARON Rodgers has a likely deadline to sign with the Pittsburgh Steelers, according to a top NFL reporter.
The 41-year-old free agent met with Mike Tomlin and the Steelers last month and has yet to decide on his career.

While the Steelers continue to wait for Rodgers to join them, ESPN’s Adam Schefter shared how urgent the four-time NFL MVP should act if he wants to play for the team.
Reports have revealed that both Rodgers and the Steelers have been pondering the 20-year NFL veteran’s future in Steel City for the majority of the offseason.
But Rodgers, who’s coming off two disappointing seasons with the New York Jets, has yet to share if he plans to play for the Steelers, or even retire.
With the NFL Draft taking place on April 24, the clock is ticking for Rodgers and the Steelers.

During an appearance on The Pat McAfee Show, Schefter predicted that Rodgers should sign before the Steelers begin voluntary offseason workouts, which are next Monday.
Schefter also suggested that news concerning Rodgers’ decision will be revealed before OTAs.
“If Aaron Rodgers decides that he wants to play in Pittsburgh with new teammates, new receivers, new coaches, a new offense, and a new city, I would think that he would want to be their boots on the ground from day one of the offseason program so he could be on the field,” Schefter said on Tuesday’s edition of PMS.
“Now, he could put this off more and wait longer, he could do that.
“It’s not like it’s a hard deadline.
“But, if you’re going to be going into a new situation, don’t you want to give yourself the best chance to get acclimated to everybody and everything within your power when the offseason program begins.”
Schefter also noted that Rodgers’s lack of clarity on the situation makes it hard for the Steelers, coaches, and players as the team’s plans for the 2025 season.
The Steelers don’t know who will be their starting signal-caller.
Their quarterback room consists of Mason Rudolph and Sylar Thompson, two players who wouldn’t provide comfort as a starter after the team made the playoffs in 2024.
The Steelers have shown interest in drafting a quarterback.
They’ve met with prospects Shedeur Sanders, Jalen Milroe, Jaxson Dart, and Tyler Shough, among others.

The Colorado Buffaloes product Sanders and the Steelers reportedly “had a good meeting” and that the visit lasted for five hours, per ESPN’s Peter Schrager.
The Steelers currently hold the No. 21 overall pick, and Sanders, who was once expected to be a top-10 selection, could be falling in the draft.
It’s not out of the realm of possibilities that the Steelers could sign Rodgers and still draft a quarterback to sit behind the future Hall of Famer for a season.
The Steelers will look to add a quarterback as they hope to win a playoff game for the first time since 2017.
